Nrithya Jagannathan is a Bharatanatyam artiste and senior disciple of Kalaimamani Smt. Krishnakumari Narendran, with over 1,500 performances and many awards to her credit. Her exploration of dance led her to the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram (KYM), where she studied with Yogacharya Sri TKV Desikachar. With more than 22 years of teaching experience, she now serves as Director of the KYM Institute of Yoga Studies.
Trained in Yoga, Yoga Therapy, and Vedic Chanting, Nrithya also chairs the Tamil Nadu State Subcommittee for Academic Courses and Examinations of the Indian Yoga Association (IYA). She is Editor-in-Chief of Darsanam, KYM’s journal on Yoga Cikitsa, and the recipient of the Yogini Award (2023), the Yoga Lakshmi Award (2024), and the Yogashakti title (2025).Her recent book, A Return to Completeness (KYM), reflects decades of study and experience, integrating yoga, aesthetics, music, dance, and culture into a vision of the seeker’s journey. She is also the co-founder of Paanchajanya, a platform interweaving art, architecture, literature, aesthetics, cuisine, healthcare, sacred ecology, and spirituality to create holistic learning experiences.
