Neena Alapatt, M.S.

Neena Alapatt holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Economics and a master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland. A software engineer by profession, she has cultivated a unique blend of technical and analytical skills. Her career has been punctuated by pauses devoted to family, yet her passion for art has remained a constant thread of inspiration and joy.

Exploring diverse mediums, Neena has showcased her wood-burned art in exhibitions and shared her creativity through teaching — working with children, adults, and seniors alike. Today, she balances her professional life in technology with her artistic pursuits, continuing to guide seniors in creative expression on her days off.

As both mother and engineer, Neena has cultivated a problem-solving mindset that shapes every aspect of her life — from debugging code and navigating parenthood to conceptualizing and bringing new artworks to life. This unique synergy of technical expertise, artistic sensibility, and familial experience has taught her to approach challenges with both analytical precision and creative vision. Neena finds deep fulfillment in this intersection of technology, art, and family.
